At Standing Bear High School
The University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Business and Lincoln Public Schools partnered to create the Nebraska Business focus program, which launched in fall 2023. The focus program enables students to develop their business knowledge and skills to be successful in any career path, working for a business or starting their own.
"Business and entrepreneurship are critical to the future of the state. This partnership will help Standing Bear High School students explore the world of business and gain insight into how they can lead the future of business.”
Kathy Farrell, James Jr. and Susan Stuart Dean of the College of Business

Students in grades 11 and 12 explore their passions and career opportunities in the areas of accounting, economics, and entrepreneurship for college credit through the focus program and receive reduced tuition. Other focus program classes include personal finance and sports marketing.
